Our Story

sip is female-founded by an Australian living in New York City, where the hustle and bustle often comes with an unfortunate sidekick: single-use plastic cups. These cups, though convenient, contribute to the 300 million tons of plastic waste produced globally each year. Most of them end up in landfills or polluting our oceans, taking hundreds of years to break down.

As a Melbournian who moved to NYC with a dream and a love for coffee culture, I knew I had to be part of the solution and not the problem. The reusable cups currently in the market were dated and took away from the iconic look of my iced latte that I loved. So began the hunt for a chic, reusable cup and when I couldn’t find it, I knew I had to do my part for the planet. That’s how sip was created—to empower people to enjoy their daily rituals without compromising the planet.
